On June 6, 1986, Deborah Gutierrez awoke to find her four-year-old daughter, was missing from her bedroom.

35 years ago today, Jessica Gutierrez of Lexington went missing.

Her mother says she woke up to find Jessica's bed empty.

35 years later, investigators are still trying to figure out what happened to Jessica Gutierrez.

My immediate impression was that it's a good case. It's a solvable case.

You recently covered the 35-year anniversary of the disappearance of a little girl named Jessica Gutierrez.

Take us back to the night she went missing in the spring of 1986.

What happened?

Yeah, so, you know, the night she went missing, she lived out in Lexington on a pretty known road around here.

It's called South Lake Drive.

She went to bed.

You know, the whole family went to bed.

She slept in a room with her older sister, actually.

And, you know, everyone went to bed as normal.

And then the next morning, I was told, you know, obviously 35 years ago, a long time ago, but the mother woke up and went to get her kids up.

And Jessica was not in her bed.
