As I've said throughout the week during this show

June is PTSD Awareness Month

And if we're going to send young men off to war, we're going to have to deal with the

consequences of the emotional damage they suffer when they return. Combine that with the fact that the types of people who are

prone to be willing to be warriors for your nation, to literally kill on command, something most of us are not prepared to do,

and to risk being killed by the bad guys, You better prepare that when they come home, you owe them a

duty for life to take care of them. And that means that we have to circle round them.

The Bible refers to this in Psalms and in Job in a number of places as a hedge of protection around someone.

We have to build a hedge of protection around our veterans when they return home

and as they age provide for them.

And if we're not willing to do that, we shouldn't recruit them with these very clever ads during the football game halftime

about being all you could be and how brave they are as our warriors and we send them off and we give them beautiful uniforms and we tell

them how great they are and they come home and we forget about them and we forget about them. Well that's what June is to me. And then some people claim

that June is gay pride month or now just Pride Month.

I've known a number of gay people in my life, as most of you have,

in the universities, in the workplace workplace in your neighborhood.

And almost every single one of them doesn't want to have parades or run around.

They don't want to be treated any differently and in fact quite the opposite

They want to be left alone

They don't want to be treated specially they don't want to be bothered They don't want to be beaten up for being gay, but by the same token they're not asking for a parade either.

And yet there is a crew. And you know this is also true of blacks.
