Today is Public Radio Music Day, and we're going to bring you some amazing live music performances from both here on Forum and the KQED Live series where we host events in our beautiful building.

Today we're starting with the Mexican musician Silvana Estrada, who you hear now.

Then it's all local musicians, Fantastic Negrito, Salami Rose, Joe Lewis, and La Donia.

musical performances that have happened here at KQED.

First up, we have Silvana Estrada, who is from Veracruz in Mexico.

She was coming to town for the San Jose Jazz Festival, and we were able to book some time

with her at a studio in Utah to play for us before that show.

I remember just listening to her sing and sitting in the studio in awe.

And for me, this performance is really the best of what we can do in bringing new music to our listeners.
