Thank you guys for being here. I'm very excited for this episode because we have Attorney General Ken Paxson on the show, U.S. Senate Canada. We're going to talk all about his race in Texas and how he's going to win this election. But first, let's go into the lay of the land on the midterms because I think

that there's a new poll out which really states the entire, what the entire midterm election is

looking like. The polls by the Washington Post and Ipsos, and it's good news for Democrats,

but it really shows the election is not over. So the top line is President Donald Trump's

favorable numbers continue to crater, with 37% of all Americans having a favorable rating, 61% give him an unfavorable rating.

Among registered voters, though, it's 40% favorable, 59% unfavorable.

I think that's very important.

A lot of polls you'll see don't make the distinction or the announcers make the distinction between all Americans and registered voters.

It's very important that you pay attention to registered voters and likely voters more than just all Americans.

The president suffers from a very bad number among independents 71 to 26.

71% is approving up the job he's doing.

Among self-described MAGA Republicans, his favorable numbers are 97 to 3.

Among non-Maga Republicans, 54 to 46.

Now, if you listen to this podcast in the past where I've talked about this, just using any,

whenever a pollster asks you if you are a Mago-Republican, it is a stupid question.

Because all it means is if you self-identify with someone who approves and strongly approves of the job the president is doing.

It does not actually mean you are, you hold to a certain list of

principles. It's really all aligned to if you like President Trump. Among people who voted for

Trump, however 17% give him an unfavorable opinion of the job he's doing. Now, that's slightly
