What is going on with Celtic Transfares?

That is this week on, 20 minute Timms. I'm your host Jamie and joined by Stephen. What's happening? And Nelly. Yes. Brendan Rogers is sick of it. He says he's sick of talking about transfer, Stephen. We're sick of it, but we're just going to do it anyway because why the hell not what else is there to talk about? Yeah, to quote Biff Tannen and Back to the Future too.

There's something very familiar about all this, isn't it? We rewind one year, I think it is, when Brendan Rogers was saying that he doesn't want to get into the negativity of talking about transfers. Fast forward a year and he's absolutely sick of talking about them. Unsurprisingly, really. It's a weird thing for a football manager to say, isn't it, during a transfer window.

I'm sick I'm sick of talking about transfers. To be fair, Brendan. Do our transfer then? Yeah. I do you on then. To be fair, it is only two months out of the entire football season we're going to be talking about this. The rest of the time, Brendan, we're going to be talking about your contract. so you might as well enjoy the transfer chat while we're at it. It's, it is,

um, see, I'm split right down the middle with these transfers, Martin Melly, because I've seen this movie many times before. I've seen a similar, it doesn't always, it's not always the same movie. You don't, you can't predict how it's going to end. But what usually happens is Rangers sign lots and lots of players early in the window. They spend lots of money. They buy their players. Everyone gets annoyed when they see Rangers doing business. Shell take weight to the last couple of weeks. They buy lots and lots of players and then we win the league. And it's been like that for basically a decade. That's not to say it's going to be like that every single time. But if you take Rangers out of the

equation and you just look at Celtic, it is difficult not to, one, yourself get pissed off as

a supporter about the way that this bizarre, frankly, dysfunctional and bizarre transfer system

works. Two, the fact that we seem to
