(Romans 10:8-10) Heart issues are life-and-death issues. Romans 10:8-10 takes us straight to the heart of salvation. This week on enjoying the journey, Scott Pauley is leading us as we walk the Romans road together.

0:14.3

This is not a road that leads to Rome, but a path that leads us straight to the Lord Jesus Christ. On this road, we will learn the

0:24.1

common condition of every single person and learn of the one remedy God has provided for us all.

0:31.7

If you have ever wondered what the Bible really says about eternal life and the way of salvation,

0:39.6

this Bible study will reveal the answer. Let's join Scott Pauli now.

Heart issues are life and death issues. Now that's true in the human body, but it is much

0:53.0

more true in your soul. It's a heart

0:56.4

issue. This is a heart matter, and I'm not talking about the organ that pumps your blood. I'm

1:02.9

talking about the real you, way down deep inside where nobody goes but you and God, the spirit

1:09.7

of the man, the inner man, the part of you that is going

1:13.6

to live on forever somewhere. That's the real matter that has to be dealt with. We're continuing

1:20.3

to walk the Romans road today, and we've come to a powerful chapter, Romans chapter 10. I hope

1:26.0

you'll read the whole chapter. We're just taking some

1:28.7

steps and some stops along the way. But I've come today to a portion of scripture that I think

1:35.6

really brings us right to the heart of the matter. Romans chapter 10 and verse number eight says,

1:42.1

but what sayeth it? The word is nigh thee even in thy mouth and in thy heart that is the word of faith which we preach

1:55.8

that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the lord jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead

2:04.7

thou shalt be saved for with the heart man believeth in a righteousness and with a mouth confession is made

2:13.6

unto salvation did you hear the word in each, it's the word heart. Now, the word mouth is also

2:22.2

there. And this is very important because lots of people have a religion that is as deep as their

2:28.7

mouth, but it is not as deep as their heart. But if you read Romans 10, verses 8, 9, and 10, you'll see that it is to begin

2:36.9

in the heart and then be expressed in the mouth. I think all of us have lived long enough to know
