I invite you to you to open a Bible to the book of Romans chapter 8 verses 31 through 37 what then shall we say to these things if God is for us who is against us? He who did not spare his own son, but delivered him over for us all?

How will he not also, along with him, freely give us all things.

Who will bring a charge against God's elect?

God is the one who justifies.

Who is the one who condemns?

Christ Jesus is he who died, yes rather, who was raised, who is at the right hand of God

who also intercedes for us, who shall separate us from the love of Christ, shall tribulation or distress or persecution or famine or

nakedness or peril or sword, just as it is written. or we were considered as sheep to be slaughtered, but in all these things we overwhelmingly

conquer through him who loved us.

us. Imagine that week after week you're sitting there under the ministry of the word from Romans 8 as an unregenerate person.

That means a person who is not born again does not have the Holy Spirit dwelling in you has an old nature, not a new nature in Christ. You pretty much love what the world loves week after week, trust what the world trusts, week after week.

You love being thought well of by other people.

You love being thought well of by other people.

You love physical pleasures like sexual sensations and food and drink and maybe getting inside the skin of a TV soap sister every afternoon and living

out some fantasies or going to some movie with its violence and its mind-battering,

and suspense and walking out utterly untouched.

And you keep on sitting there and you come back week after week
