Summary

After his uncle died, Andrew began spending weekends at his aunt’s house to keep his cousin company while she worked overnight shifts. At first, the house felt normal—quiet, familiar, and heavy with grief, but not frightening.

Then Andrew woke in the living room and saw something standing behind a partially opened bedroom door.

The figure didn’t speak. It didn’t move toward him. It simply raised one finger as if telling him to stay quiet, then disappeared back into the room.

What Andrew didn’t know was that his cousin had seen the same figure for years. And when it appeared again, both boys began to wonder if the real question wasn’t what the figure was… but what it had been watching all along.
