0:00.0	First John chapter two, if you're just jumping in now, we're in a series of messages called Touch Grass.
0:05.5	We're getting grounded in truth.
0:08.0	And that's what First John is all about.
0:10.1	It's an eight-week-long study, and we hope you can come for as many of them as you can, listen to as many of them as you can.
0:16.0	And the title of this message is, it doesn't get better than this.
0:20.6	It doesn't. Have you ever said that? Get better than this.
0:25.1	My wife and I had a moment this week where we just were sitting there. We had just finished,
0:28.7	you know, whatever it was we were doing as a family. And then we were preparing for dinner.
0:32.5	And we both just kind of looked at each other because none of the kids were fighting.
0:35.9	And everyone was getting along. And it was just this, it was in it's summer you know the light is so golden right you have to
0:42.7	remind yourself like when you're driving when the window down and you're not getting frostbite
0:47.0	like how how wonderful that feels it's fleeting it's precious right and and just one of those
0:52.5	moments where just the air was still it was warm it, it was beautiful, the kids were getting along, and we were just felt such a sense of content, you know, just such a sense of like you could almost like deep sigh out of just happy. And in those moments, it's human nature just to feel like a sense of like, hey, don't get any better than this,, short of like falling into like a beer commercial, you know, like just,
1:11.8	where you just feel like, can it just be like this all the time?
1:17.0	And the answer, of course, is yes, and that's called heaven.
1:20.6	But John, in this passage of 1st John chapter 2, is literally trying to get his readers
1:26.2	and by extension us to know it doesn't where we
1:28.9	are positionally in Christ it doesn't get better than this have you ever fallen for an upgrade
1:37.7	only to realize it was not an upgrade that what you upgraded to was more expensive, had less features, but fortunately it came
1:47.1	with a monthly subscription that you'll pay for the rest of your life, right? And you realize,
1:50.9	oh, you took away the headphone jack. You now make all the accessories cost money, including a charger.
1:57.7	There's worse battery life, and the best feature is now hidden behind a paywall, right?
