it was just like a misspeaking, but a unionist, of course, in the Irish context is someone who

wants the union of what is today Northern Ireland with the United Kingdom to continue. It is not

someone who wants the union of Northern Ireland with the Republic of

Ireland in an independent Irish Republic void of any British rule. I wanted to flag that.

We could maybe draw a difference between loyness and unionists, but the important thing here

is that the unionist in the Irish context is not a Republican.
