In Chautauqua County, New York, there are three open missing persons cases involving women.

The cases of Patricia Lamerert, Corey Anderson, and Lori Bovet.

Recent discoveries in the area have investigators looking back at all three.

Those are the three that we're primarily focused on right at this moment and trying to to the investigation either look for further evidence that could lead towards the investigation

of one of those missing individuals or to rule them out.

Our hope is to be able to get some closure for one of the families.

Leanne, it's in late September that a hiker spotted something near a trail in Chautauqua County, New York.

What happened?

Yeah, it was September 26, and it was around 6 o'clock in the evening.

And the Chautauqua County Sheriff said that a hiker, who had lost something on a previous hike, was combing. The Chautauqua County

rails to trails path. And it was near Wobin Road, which is in the town of Portland. And she had

told the sheriff's office, she noticed what she thought was something

that was glass, but it appeared to be a human skull. So at that point, she contacted Stockwell County

authorities. Yes, when she felt that it was a human remains, she contacted the sheriff's office.

We sent initially one of our patrol officers and some forensic identification officers.

They determined that it was in fact a human remains.

And they contact Merceros University's forensic anthropology team, who they work closely with

on a lot of different cases.
