| 0:00.0 | Welcome to 10-minute Bible Talks, where we connect the Bible to your life and the time it takes to get to work. |
| 0:11.0 | I'm Jensen Holt McNair. |
| 0:14.0 | Imagine with me for a moment that someone who had lived in a remote village with no access to the internet or other cultures for their entire life, |
| 0:21.9 | came to America in 26. And this person was given access to the internet to read news articles, |
| 0:28.6 | blog posts, social media, whatever they could dig up besides the Bible to answer one question. |
| 0:35.2 | What is the most important rule that Christians should follow? They had to |

| 1:41.3 | loudly about and fought for, they'd walk away with some answer that |
| 1:46.1 | revolved around a moral rule, an expectation of the Christian community to look a certain way, |
| 1:53.7 | conform a certain way, perform a certain way. See, our culture isn't unique. We aren't the first ones to hyper-focus on moral |
| 2:03.9 | issues that feel life or death in our current time. Throughout Christian history, we can pinpoint |
| 2:09.5 | different sins, different cultural battles that the church fought and fought loudly, |
| 2:14.7 | sometimes for the better, but sometimes for the detriment of the gospel. |
