Summary

On June 11, 1981, Issei Sagawa murdered Renée Hartevelt, then proceeded to have sex with her corpse, cut her up and consume parts of her body over the course of several days before ultimately being arrested and prosecuted. After serving only 2 years in prison, Issei was released on a legal technicality and is still out of prison to this day. Savannah details his horrendous crime and how it's possible that such a brutal murder is allowed to enjoy his freedom. Watch Issei's interview where he details his crime here.
