This is huge. The chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court was warned that he would

be destroyed unless he withdrew the arrest warrants against the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin

Netanyahu, and his former Defence Minister Yoav Gallant. Those arrest warrants were requested

by the chief prosecutor last May, 2025, and then issued by the court last November. Of course, these arrestments are for war

crimes and crimes against humanity perpetrated by the Israeli state, specifically in Gaza.

Now, this is an article published by Middle East I, an invaluable source of information,

not least, of course, about Israel's genocide. Middle East I reports that the warning was

given to Karim Khan, the British lawyer,

who is the court's prosecutor, by Nicholas Kaufman, a British Israeli lawyer at the court,

who according to a note of the meeting, was authorised to make a proposal that would allow

Khan to climb down the tree. Let me quote from the article. He told Khan to apply to the court

to reclassify the warrants and underlying information as confidential.

This, it was suggested, would allow Israel to access the details of the allegations,

which it could not do at the time in challenge them in private without the outcome being made public.

But government warned that if emerged that the chief prosecutor was applying for more arrest warrants for far-out ministers Itimer Ben-Givir and Bezal Smotrich, over their

promotion of illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank, then all options would be off

the table. Kaufman told Khan, they will destroy you and they will destroy the court.

I'll put this in context shortly, very important context, but Middle East Eye report that

according to the meeting note, quite understandably, Kahn's wife understood this as a threat.

The lawyer Kauffman, when approached by Middle East Ai, said,

I do not deny that I told Khan that he should be looking for a way to extricate himself

from his errors.
