After intense international pressure to allow more aid into Gaza,

the Israeli military appears to have significantly changed its approach.

In a statement released late on Saturday,

the IDF said it would implement a series of actions

aimed at improving the humanitarian response

and it says refuting the false claim of deliberate starvation

in the Gaza Strip.

According to the Hamas-run Health Ministry, five people have died in Gaza due to malnutrition

since Friday, taking the total number to 127.

It says that two-thirds of them are children.
