our main stories. The Israeli military has expressed deep remorse over the deaths of

three hostages held by Hamas in Gaza

who were killed after being mistakenly identified as a threat.

The Israeli military says it has killed three hostages who were being held in Gaza after they were mistakenly identified as a threat in a town in the north of the Gaza Strip.

The victims have been named as Jotam Haim and Seymmer Tolalka.

Both were abducted by Hamas from Kaputzes in southern Israel.

The family of the third hostage had initially requested that his name was not broadcast.
