that their forces have taken over the Gazan side of the Rafaf crossing.

The Israeli Defense Force says it began a precise counter-terrorism operation in Eastern

Rafa.

IDF Intelligence found that the area was being optimized for terrorist purposes.

Officials with the IDF say their primary objectives are to eliminate Hamas terrorists and

take down terrorist infrastructure.

Ahead of the operation, Israel warned Roth for residents and urged them to evacuate to an area in Al-Mawasi.

There, the IDF facilitated the expansion of field hospitals and

increased water, food and medical supplies. Israeli forces also warned

international organizations in the area to temporarily evacuate.

Four IDF soldiers were killed and several others were injured during the operation.

Around 20 Hamas terrorists were killed.
