Israel has recently announced new measures that allow it to steal more Palestinian land in the occupied West Bank. Check out how this was covered in Israeli media vs US media.

Can you guess which is more honest in its coverage?

First, Israeli media writes this:

Image

They explain that the Cabinet intends to further their annexation, or theft, of Palestinian land, which is at least honest in its intention.

In contrast, here’s the New York Times:

Israel gives itself more control over occupied West Bank?? We’ve never seen this euphemism for theft before. It seems the subservient New York Times has become more creative than ever in its linguistic gymnastics to avoid any legitimate coverage of Israeli crimes.

Reminds us of the classic from 2014 when a missile, seemingly shot by no one, ‘found’ Gazan civilians watching the World Cup:

To check in on how things are going for the Palestinians who live in the land that Israel is giving itself more control over, we’re speaking with Mohammad Hesham Huraini, an independent journalist from Masafer Yatta, the same West Bank community depicted in the 2025 Oscar-winning documentary No Other Land.

We ask Mohammad: did winning the Oscar have any benefit for your community? With one of the directors already murdered by settlers and the rest facing constant threats of terror, his answer is depressing.

Please share this interview to get Mohammad’s reporting out to the world. Thanks for supporting independent media.

He is like the Oscar winner. He doesn't want to take a picture with me. They try to harass him in this way. And it's in this way, it showed you that these settlers really, they wanted to target it Basel because of the Oscar.

Welcome to a bonus interview from Useful Idiots. Israel has recently announced new measures that allow it to steal more Palestinian land in the occupied West Bank.

0:24.1

And let's take a look at how this was covered in the U.S. versus the Israeli media.

0:28.9

The Israeli media is sometimes a lot more honest in how it covers Israel than even the U.S. media.

0:34.6

And this is a shining example.

0:36.1

So check out this comparison of Israeli and

0:38.4

US media via our friend Muhammad Shahada. So first this is from Israeli outlet. The cabinet

0:44.5

approved a series of decisions intended to deepen the annexation of Judea and Samaria,

0:49.8

which is the Israeli term for the occupied West Bank, which they refer to in biblical terms because

0:55.0

they claim a divine right to steal the West Bank. But at least they're acknowledging there in the

0:59.5

headline that this is a part of an annexation process, aka theft. Okay, that's the Israeli media.

1:04.4

Turning now to the New York Times. What does the New York Times say? Israel gives itself more

1:09.1

control over occupied West Bank. Israel's stealing more land and the way

1:16.2

the Times describes it is that it's giving itself more control. A really new euphemism for theft.

1:24.9

I hadn't seen this one before, giving oneself more control. It's like if you break

1:29.1

into someone's house and you steal their belongings, I guess you're giving yourself more control

1:33.7

over their prized possessions. It is really creative. So to check in on how things are going for

1:39.9

the Palestinians who live in the land that Israel is giving itself more control of via theft and constant terror.

1:47.6

We checked in with Muhammad Hasham Hureani.

1:51.1

He is an independent journalist and activist from Masafarayata, which is south of Hebron, in the occupied West Bank.

1:59.4

And for people who recognize that name, this is the community depicted in the Oscar-winning

2:03.8

documentary, No Other Land.
