The first round of negotiations between the United States and Iran was nearly derailed today, but appears to be back on track for now. Israel and Hezbollah have agreed to renew a ceasefire after fighting in Lebanon. Israeli strikes there killed at least 47 people today, according to Lebanon.

That's the second deadliest day there since the war began.

Hezbollah also killed four Israeli soldiers overnight.

Now, the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the U.S. and Iran stated that fighting on all fronts of the war would end.
