0:30.7	And let's start with what's on the horizon in the Israel-Hamas War.
0:34.9	Tomorrow, U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken is to visit Israel with
0:38.3	plans to make additional stops in the region. There have been daily reports not only of the
0:43.1	fighting in Gaza, but a worsening situation for civilians there. What should we be looking for on
0:48.6	this trip by Secretary Blinken? The U.S. is more influence with the Israelis than any other
0:53.9	country, but it is frankly
0:55.5	limited. And privately and increasingly publicly, the Biden team are pressing the Israelis
1:00.7	to exercise more restraint, and particularly to limit civilian casualties as they go after
1:06.4	Hamas. And I'm not sure how much they are getting through, but I think that is a big part
1:10.7	of the
1:11.0	mission of this trip.
1:12.8	Wednesday evening, President Biden said something that his advisors had been saying, but
1:16.8	that we hadn't been hearing from the president.
1:18.5	He said he thought there should be a humanitarian pause in the war to facilitate the release
1:23.5	of hostages.
1:24.7	And others are saying the need for a pause, others in the administration
1:27.5	the need for a pause to get more aid in to get more ill people out.
