A week of intense emotion, joy and relief as hostages are reunited with their families in Israel,

all coming against the backdrop of a truce, a pause in fighting between Israel and Hamas.

We'll be speaking to one of Israel's leading experts on Hamas.

Unholy to Jews on the news, this has definitely been the emotional roller coaster week here in Israel.

I mean, really, Jonathan, just to see the sheer joy of hostages coming home, of children being released. When we started talking about this last week,

we said the number 50. There have now been 78 Israeli hostages coming back, 36 out of them,

are children, kids, teenagers until the age of 18. I mean, this is really a remarkable thing to

see. You see families united. You see things that if you had asked me two or three weeks ago

when we were really in the sort of depths of despair here, I mean, that is something that

I think Israelis maybe didn't allow themselves to imagine that this is something

that can happen. And it has. And it really, you know, you need to sort of pause on that. And

we will talk about that a little bit more. But with that sheer joy comes the sheer dread of what

the people who are still in captivity are going through because the testimonies

of the people who have been in captivity are coming out and you realize little by little by putting

all these pieces of the puzzle of this really terrible puzzle together, you realize what they

have been going through. So the ups and downs of this week, I think someone

described it in my studio during one of these endless broadcasts of the hostages coming home.

It feels like Memorial Day and Independence Day all wrapped into one, right? It's like 200% happiness,

200% despair. Just thinking about the fact that so many of these families coming back,
