Patrick Wall was fired by the island yesterday.

On Easter, which was amazing. And he's a huge Jesus guy, right? So I really had to hurt him. Yeah, I don't know. I have no idea about that. I mean, I don't know where you got that from. I don't know. It just sounded like it was a thing to say. Okay. Yep. Yeah. A huge Jesus guy? Well, you get fired on Easter. I just thought that would be really, like, if he was like, really like super into it, you know, then that would have been even worse, you know? Like one of those things. Because here he is, you know, it's a big holiday for him, and then he gets fired on Easter, you know? But these,L coaches, they're the managers in baseball and the NHL coaches, it's just like whatever.

You fire a guy with four games left when you're still in a playoff spot.

I understand her three and seven in her last day.

They lost four in a row, whatever it was.

But I mean, my goodness, they're bringing a guy outside of the organization, it's a little crazy. Well, I think what ends up happening is that, you know,

there was probably a change that was going to be made, and they wanted to get ahead of the next

hiring cycle for other coaches. And the number one name on that list was Peter DeBoer.

And so I would think that, you know, if the, if the owners had won these games, I would and the number one name on that list was Peter DeBoer.

And so I would think that, you know, if the, if the owners had won these games,

I would imagine that he'd still be the coach.

And if they were, you know, solidly in the playoffs, Patrick Gua would still be here.

But because they're not and they're teetering on the outside of the playoffs,

that a decision obviously had to be made within the last couple weeks, I would imagine.

And then it was just a matter of getting ahead of next year's hiring cycle and hiring the guy that everybody would have wanted.

So that's what I think this is.

Yeah, but I really think we should talk more hockey.

But I do, I mean, I also, I mean, I'm not disputing any of that. But obviously this is a, it's a desperation pump into this season as well. I mean, I wouldn't. I mean, there's no, I mean, as you mentioned, if they were firmly in a playoff spot and got in and went on a run, then Patrick Gouin would still be here. So, yeah, I mean, I think it's a combination of both those things. We need a jolt. That's why the timing was what it was. And also, we can get the guy that we want in here before another team maybe gets a chance to talk to him. But we'll see if it works. I mean, there's been crazy coaching changes in the

NHL before. Some have worked out really well. Some haven't. I mean, there's been ones that have been a mid-season change, and then that team goes and wins the Stanley Cup. I actually think that happened with the Penguins, the first year, Dan Bilesma went in there, pretty sure. I'm not, actually, I'm not positive, but stuff like that has happened.

You see these teams go on these runs of these mid-season firings in the NHL more than any other sport. Well, the one thing I think that was probably more concerning anything. Number one, they lost Tony G. Angelo for an extended period of time, which really hurt their defense. And number two, I mean, the amount of goals that they've given up over the last four

games is startling. So it really starts with defense, and that's what the board's known for.

So whether or not he can put in a system within two practices before their next game on Thursday
