Indeed, those who are wasteful, extravagant, they are the brethren of shaytan

and shaytan is very ungrateful.

Pause for a moment. You have wealth.

But you are leaving the electricity or the lights

or an appliance that you don't need on all night,

simply because you can afford the bill.

Don't do that. If you don't need it, turn it off.

The lights at night turn them off.

The heaters, the air conditions, whatever it may be,

don't simply leave it on because you can afford it.

It is extravagance, it is a waste.

And those who are extravagant and wasteful, what does Allah say?

They are the brethren of shaytan because shaytan is actually very ungrateful.

It is a sign of ingratitude to waste electricity.

It is a sign of ingratitude to waste water.

It is a sign of ingratitude to waste petrol or anything for that matter.

These resources that we are all sharing on earth,

no matter how much money you have,

it does not entitle you to waste these resources.
