Once they had collected their suitcases from baggage claim, they all hopped on a coach to their hotel.

It was a big hotel with hundreds of rooms and a big dinner hall that they could go to for buffet food all day and night.

Nana and Papi said they had been before and they had had a wonderful time, so they knew that the whole family would enjoy it here.

Hyla was sleeping in a room with her mummy and daddy and baby Freddy, whilst Nana and Papi slept in the room next door.

They had a balcony attached to their room with a table and chairs that overlooked the pool area. It was pretty fancy.

Hyla appeared through the balcony bars and down to the swimming pool. There were three pools, one of which had a long water slide attached to it.

Hyla was desperate to change into her bathing costume and head outside. Luckily, so with the rest of her family, and they all geared up to go downstairs as soon as possible.

With her new heart-shaped sunglasses on, Hyla and her family headed downstairs to the swimming pool to enjoy their first day on holiday.

Nana and Papi relaxed on a couple of reclining sun lounges, whilst mummy and daddy covered Hyla and Freddy with suncream and took them to the kids' pool.

Hyla waited into the blue water with her arm bands on and kicked her legs behind her to swim.

Hyla had been taking swimming lessons recently and was getting much better, but she still liked to wear her arm bands sometimes.

Hyla swam up to baby Freddy, who was bobbing around in a special baby float with daddy. He was having a great time.

Hyla giggled as Freddy splashed his pudgy little hands in the water and cackled with delight.

Hyla pushed a small wave of water towards Freddy, and he swept up and down over the wave and his float, juggling all the way.

Hyla, Freddy and their mummy and daddy had a lot of fun in the swimming pool.

Hyla practiced her doggy paddle and stood under the water sprinklers with her mummy.

Then she had a go on the water slide that she had been eyeing up from the room balcony.
