President Donald Trump says he's ordered a deadly strike on ISIS in Nigeria.

In a post on social media yesterday, Trump accused the group of killing Christians in the country.

President Trump has focused really for the last

several months on the plight of Christians in Nigeria, including in November when he called

on the Defense Secretary Pete Hedyseth to prepare for possible action and warns that the U.S.

would enter Nigeria, quote, guns ablazing to protect the Christian population in Africa's most

populous country.

Nigeria's foreign ministry shared a statement with CNN, confirming its cooperation with the

airstrikes on, quote, terrorist targets.

More news coming up, including the latest on the deadly holiday storms hitting California.

Now to California, where dangerous storms have slammed the state with heavy rain flooding,

high winds and mountain snow, with more rainfall expected today.

It was a harrowing Christmas Eve for some, with rescues and evacuations because of widespread

flooding in parts of the state, and then a line of severe thunderstorms moving into Northern

California early Christmas morning.

Governor Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency in several counties in Southern California,

including Los Angeles.

And while today's rainfall is expected to be less than Wednesdays, LA's fire department

is warning it could easily lead to flooding because the ground is already saturated.
