ministry as we pick up in Isaiah chapter 6 verse 1 and now with today's

shall we turn now in our Bibles to Isaiah chapter six as Isaiah records for us his

commissioning by God for his ministry.

Now you remember in chapter one that Isaiah tells us

that his time of prophecy extended through the kingdom or through the

kings of usiah Jotham a has and Hezakiah. As we pointed out it is thought that he was put to death by the evil

son of Hezekiah, Manassa.

But his call to his ministry as a prophet is given to us in chapter 6 and it so happened that it came in the year that King Yousiah died.

I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne high and lifted up and his

train filled the temple. Yousiah was a very popular king. He had reined over Israel for 52 years. He began his reign when he was just 16 years old.
