Hey friends, it's Mr. Jim and welcome back to Kid Short Stories.

If this is your first time or you're still newer to our family, I want to encourage you to try five that's our

challenge where for five days in a row your kids listen to some awesome stories

to use their imagination and watch their creativity come to life.

You see, we make stories every single day for you, and you just never know what kind of story you're going to find on any given day.

So hang with me for five days, whether driving in the car or maybe during lunchtime and I think you're going to find

something pretty amazing happens. Well friends are you ready for today's

adventure? Me too, let's go!

It was a cool fall,

a cool fall, crispy day outside in Isaiah's backyard. The sun was shining and Isaiah was swinging on a swing set.

When all of a sudden he saw something that caught his eye.

Wait a second, said Isaiah.

What was that?

I think that was a lizard.

His eyes were telling him the truth.

In fact, there was a bright green lizard on a tree on the other side of his yard

who had come out in the sunshine to warm up for the day.

I really want to hold that lizard.

Maybe if I sneak over slowly I can grab onto him just for a minute to say hello and then I'll let him go.

Isaiah did love learning about critters of all shapes and sizes, and one of the best ways to learn about a critter is to get up nice and close to it and examine and look at its toes or its tail.

Some of his favorite critters to find were salamanders and toads and frogs.

But those green lizards were very fast.
