and our study brings us to chapters 34 and 35 in the Old Testament

book of Isaiah. But before we begin, Dr. McGee recorded a few thoughts to get us started.

Those of you that are following our broadcasts through Isaiah and through the Bible,

know that we are in a section now where we're seeing many prophecies concerning the nations that were around and

contiguous to the land of Israel. We can be sure one thing that this piece of real estate that God gave to

Abraham 2,000 years before Christ is the most sensitive piece of real estate there is in the world.

We can know one thing that the land and the people go together. They were in that land when they obeyed God, when they disobeyed

God, God put them out of the land. They're back in the land today, that is a few, not many, but frankly they are not obedient to God today.

I don't think anyone is prepared to say that, that they've turned back to the Lord God of heaven of the Old Testament

who sent the Lord Jesus Christ into the world to be a Savior for the world. But these

prophecies that we have in the Old Testament, many of them have already been fulfilled. Many of them are future. I do not believe we're seeing

the fulfillment of any of them at the present moment.

And yet today sensationalists are constantly calling attention to some of these and they lift them out.

And I'm sure those of you that have followed us through Isaiah realize that you just can't do that.

That is not the way that you study the word of God.

You just kind of left out a verse here and a verse there and make some sort
