It's been said that man can live about 40 days without food,

three days without water, eight minutes without air, but only for one second without hope.

In our ongoing study of Isaiah, we've heard a lot of bad news. But we also hear this.

There's hope in God, but only if people will turn to Him. As much as life has changed since

the days of ancient Israel, this much has stayed the same. God is our only place of actual hope.

So when you turn to Him, you find life, even when this life is over.

That's our prayer, as the teaching goes goes out for more people to hear God's

word and receive the eternal hope that he gives us through his son Jesus Christ.

A listener named Amal in Yemen describes in an email how through the Bible is working to break down barriers

that prevent God's word from being shared in Muslim dominant countries.

But the blockades around people's hearts still keep God out. They desperately need our prayers.

Amal objects to God's word. He says, Jesus is a prophet. He cannot be the son of God.

Your Bible has been distorted. Let's pray for this man and ask God to break down the walls around his heart.
