0:08.6	I'd like to just jump a little bit to Chapter 27.
0:12.1	24 through 27, each chapter in some way says the same thing as the next chapter.
0:17.2	It's just this theme that he keeps repeating, but he does it so beautifully.
0:21.2	I just want to look at verse 1 of Chapter 27.
0:25.2	That's really powerful, beautiful stuff.
0:28.0	I love that you said it's not just deserians and Babylonians and New Testament Romans that

0:38.1	My students often feel uncomfortable, and we encounter this all over in scriptures, but
0:42.3	especially in Isaiah, they feel uncomfortable when they read something about God destroying

0:49.0	There are times in Isaiah where he says you're violent.
0:51.2	They feel uncomfortable with that, but we have to couple with verse 8 and 9.
0:55.0	I think Chapter 27, verse 1, really helps us with this.
0:58.6	This is a phrase that a lot of my students are not comfortable with, but I rejoice in.
1:04.0	So Chapter 27, verse 1, in that day the Lord with his sore and great and strong sword shall
1:11.1	punish Leviathan, the piercing serpent, even Leviathan, that crooked serpent, and he
1:16.2	shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.
1:19.1	And then verse 2, in that day, sing ye under her of men year to red wine.
1:23.4	He's singing because God has a sore and great and strong sword that he punishes with.
