All right, so guys, Isaiah 10 today, despite Sam's earlier confusion in our text, like,

we're doing Isaiah 11.

And I was like, no, we're not.

So Isaiah 10, right?

We're on the same page.

Great.

Picking up where we left off.

And today's passage is sort of judgment, judgment, judgment on both Israel and Assyria,

and then a really beautiful sort of flash of hope toward the end, which will lead into next episode, God willing,

which is a passage we've talked about many times, and you'll be familiar with the messianic prophecy in there.

So any comments before we get started?

Well, I'll make a comment about structure. Okay. So predictable. Remember, the first four verses really belong with the previous chapter. So chapter nine has this repeated refrain for all

this has anger has not turned away and his hand is stretched out still. We found that three times,

I believe, in the previous chapter. And then the first four verses continue these woes and these

curses. And then again, that phrase occurs at the end of verse four for all this has anger

has not turned away and his hand is stretched out still.

Then once you hit verse five, you have the Lord's judgment on Assyria.
