Chad, we are in Isaiah chapter 10. We got through the first couple of verses and got through some poetry.

Isaiah's one of those books. He's like, I got a poem. I don't think you're going to like this poem.

This one is a little bit more like, here's all the things you've done, and that's the reason

that God's hand is stretched out and his anger has not turned away. I'm going to go, let me list

the reasons, right? And that's kind of, that's kind of where we ended. God is speaking a lot of judgment uh he's going to use

uh the assyrians to bring about this judgment and we're going to pick it up where he's got

words uh for the assyrians too that make you go wait what like what what's the deal is this

your instrument or is this your adversary? I'm

unsure what's going on here. Yeah, a little bit of both, right? Yeah, we're going to hear a lot about

Assyria from 10 to 5 through the whole rest of the chapter. And yeah, I mean, the basic,

the basic theme will be God using Assyria, and Assyria is doing this all for themselves

for their pride and their arrogance and their glory, and so God is going to turn around,

and he's going to punish them for their arrogance.

So he's not punishing them for necessarily what they did as far as their instrumental usage by God,

but rather they're acting as if this is all about them.
