Welcome, Isabel. So can you tell me a little bit about yourself and how you got interested in the Madeline

McCann case?

Yeah, of course.

Okay, so my name is Isabel McBowden.

My actual name is Isabel Maria Fernand, a very Portuguese name with a foreign last name.

I am from Lisbon.

I was born in Lisbon, Portugal.

Part of my education was back in Lisbon at one of the best high schools in the

industrial area.

My parents moved me to California when I was 15, and, you know, we still have, you know,

property in Portugal, and, you know, my parents specially traveled back quite a bit.

I do when I can.

And when Madeline went missing, it was very personal for me, just because I know my country,

I know how people react.

I know how parents dragged their children all around, you know, restaurants, and it's so

family-oriented, that when the story came up, of course, I felt horrible for them.

The first week, I thought, oh, my God, how did this happen?

And at the time I was here, and I had RTP, RTP, International, which is our, you know,

international channel, you know, so I was following along.
