You see, the real blessing that God wanted to give us was not property rights in the Middle East

or the head clansmanship position of a nomadic Mediterranean tribe.

The real blessing was God's favor, God's forgiveness, a place in his family, a role in his kingdom.

And that blessing is not given to those who earn it or make themselves

worthy of it.
