I've been spending quite a bit of time this week in a hypothetical artillery shell

crater in my work in progress in setting in the Battle of the Somme in World War I.

It's always rewarding to get to put all my months of research to work in the mad dash of an actual

battle scene.

Fitting historical details into the lives of my characters, who always have their own opinions about the direction any given scene should take, can be both difficult and exciting.

I'm also preparing a blog tour for my upcoming CD, conquering writers block and summoning

inspiration.

So far, the tour features lots of extra tips and expanded suggestions for, you guessed it,

fostering creativity and inspiration.

It's going to be a blast, so be sure to check back throughout the next couple months for further details.
