We are picking up with day four of our anticipating Christmas devotional.

But in the meantime, I'm going to read the scripture, then Tori's going to pick up

with the Devo.

Let's do it.

The scripture is Matthew, chapter 2, verses 10 and 11, and it says this,

When they saw the star, they were filled with joy.

They entered the house and saw the child with his mother, Mary, and they bowed down and

worshiped him.

Then they opened their treasure chest and gave him gifts of gold, frankincense, and murder.

The devotional is titled, the joy set before us, and it says this, joy.

The praise filled assurance that God is in control and working everything out for our

good and His glory.

It can be difficult to feel joyful in the time leading up to Christmas.

The holidays can be stressful, hectic, lonely, or painful.

But the joy that Jesus' arrival represents isn't conditional or fleeting.

It's enduring and unshakable.
