Summary

In this episode, Michael Rubino, a leading expert in indoor air quality, joined me to discuss mold exposure and remediation which is something everyone should be aware of. This is the early days for mold awareness, in 20 years everyone will know this, no need to be behind. Michael’s the guy that helped me with my house when I figured out the link between mold and my health.

We explored how mold and poor air quality contribute to serious health issues, including brain fog and fatigue to more severe conditions like autoimmune disorders and long term neurological problems.

We spoke about modern building practices and the rise of mold-related health issues, and why potentially 80% of homes in the U.S. harbor hidden water damage and poor air quality. Michael also provided tips to improve indoor air, including testing methods, air purifiers, and how to identify mold in your home—even when it’s not visible.

We also covered Michael’s advocacy work through the Change the Air Foundation, which aims to improve public health policies and tackle mold-related issues in housing, schools, and military facilities. Enjoy!

Michael Rubino is a mold and air quality expert, environmental wellness advocate, and founder of HomeCleanse, a revolutionary company with the vision to end the worldwide health epidemic caused by poor air quality and toxic indoor environments. He is also Chair of Change the Air Foundation and Host of Never Been Sicker podcast.

seal, in your HVAC system. It sounds insane. There are people out there that are judging us right now,

0:27.8

but I'll tell you this, it's actually more insane to stay in the place that's making you sick.

First off, your toilet tank. I tell people to check their toilet tanks. It's a good one. It takes

0:36.2

three seconds. You literally go over to your toilet, You pop the lid off, look on the underside and look inside.

We've been indoctrinated since the early 1900s that we grow up to be factory workers. We have

0:46.9

headaches. We take these, these pills. The problem with that is, is that it actually can be that

0:51.6

simple. Without pills. We don't need pills. We're not deficient in pills.
