Welcome back. Today's episode is going to be pretty short, but I hope that it's going to make

0:06.0

you think about the things you focus on and the goals that you have in your life and if they're

0:11.9

really a fit for where you are. This episode was born out of the fact that I had a couple emails

0:17.3

this week from clients and they had explained what their goal was. And as I looked at their goals,

0:24.4

it made me curious if their goals were actually going to make them happy long term.

0:32.2

It made me curious if they had set this thought in their mind that this is what they needed,

0:38.2

this goal is what they needed and had lost track of everything along the way to get there and

0:44.3

the beauty and the journey. And as I was thinking about this, I thought about some things in my

own life. It really made me think what things do I work towards or focus on that may not be worth

1:24.2

your goals. I want you to think about the things you focus on. And if they're really making you happy

1:31.3

and if they're really lining up with your priorities, I'm also going to suggest that you grab a

1:36.9

piece of paper and a pencil during this episode or if you want to just open up your phone and go to

1:42.4

your notes. I want you to write down some of the feelings that your goal creates and some of the

1:48.6

action that your goal creates and see where your focus is as well. Because I know for me,

1:54.3

some of the most life changing and important events in my life aren't necessarily a goal that

reaching a goal that I wanted. But thinking about the process and trying to align that with what

2:05.6

really mattered to make my life congruent and honestly to make my life happy with my priorities
