We are continuing this series on the Book of James.

Let me read the passage that we're gonna to be in tonight and then I will launch into it and give us some tracks for where we're going to be.

This is James chapter 2, starting

14.

What good is it, my brothers and sisters,

if someone claims to have faith,

but has no deeds or actions.

Can such faith save them?

Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food.

And one of you says to them,

go and peace, keep warm and well fed,

but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is that?

In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

But someone will say, you have faith, I have deeds.

Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds and my actions.

You believe that there is one God, good.
