Today on Short and Curly, Carl and I are back at school.

We sure are.

Carl, I think the bell is about to go now.

Whoa, how did you do that?

I don't know.

I've got to say, it feels kind of weird hanging out in a classroom again,

getting used to going to school every day.

And my old uniform is feeling real tight, like a, like chafing kind of tight.

Hmm, can't say I'm excited to be back. I always thought school was a pretty unfair place.

What? How do you mean?

Well, there are heaps of things that don't seem fair at school.

From the way students are punished or rewarded to the amount of time the teacher gives you individually, you know?

And today we're asking, is your classroom a fair place to learn in?

We're going to take a few examples from school and look at whether they're fair or not.

We'll have some of our own experiences to share,

but we also want you to think about yours.

So hoist your oversized backpacks on.
