Summary

When storms hit—both in the weather and in our nation—they have a way of revealing what really holds us together. In this Weekly Wrap-Up, Kirk reflects on a devastating ice storm sweeping the country and a growing storm of national division, unpacking what Scripture says about suffering, authority, unity, and trust in God. From natural disasters to political conflict, this conversation challenges us to ask a deeper question: when comfort disappears, does our faith disappear—or does it grow stronger?   o learn more about the sponsor of today’s show and what our family currently uses for our healthcare check out Christian Healthcare Ministries by visiting https://hubs.ly/Q02vWQGy0    Editing and production services provided by thepodcastupload.com   #TheKirkCameronShow #ICEProtest #AlexPretti #ReneeGood #WinterStormFern #IceStorm #WeeklyWrapUp #KirkCameron

You know, storms have a way of stripping life down to the essentials.

Heat, food, trust, and unity.

Today, I want to talk with you about two ice storms. One is freezing out our cities and the other is dividing our nation.

hit, this is no joking matter. This is one of the worst storms that the Tennessee and Mississippi

and surrounding areas have had in decades. There are below zero temperatures in places here in the

country from winter storm fern,

0:56.0

and we have an ice storm that has turned the whole city with all of its trees into what looks

1:01.5

like a chandelier shop. I mean, it's just like glass everywhere, and as it melts, it becomes

1:07.8

dangerous as well, refreezing overnight, making ice skating rinks out of the

1:12.4

streets, and then the icicles can drop and be very dangerous that way as well. So there are

1:18.9

hundreds of thousands of people who are without power, without heat, without food, they're running

1:23.2

out of propane, they're running out of kerosene, they're running out of wood and food and medicine,

1:29.5

and first responders are finding the roads to be impassable because of trees and power lines

1:35.3

that have come down. It's really, really serious. Organizations are putting up warming centers,

1:41.7

but they're not enough. Not enough people can get to them, and more are needed.

1:46.6

There's also Arctic air that is predicted to move in with more sub-zero temperatures freezing

1:54.4

and paralyzing everything again this weekend. This is real loss of life, not just theoretical suffering. I don't know about you,
