I think that sometimes on pirate ships, they would have faulty, like, faux hollow cannons

that they would put up to scare the other ships. But this is, you know, this is a nautical,

historical podcast. Just, you know, it says, here's what you thought you knew about the plunderers

of your. Yeah. But I, John Risinger, am here to tell you thought you knew about the plunderers of your.

But I, John Risinger, am here to tell you, no, pirates, they didn't have those.

Is that what that's about?

The things that I'm an expert about the most are the X-Men, Pokemon, and pirate lore.

That's my areas of expertise.

And I figured it was time for the world to know all of that and be told that in a podcast form. No, it's not that at all.

The Real Canon is a nerd culture deep dive podcast with myself. But more importantly, with my co-host, Charles Pulliam Moore, who is a journalist who covers all of that for I-09.

And we brought him in, and he is, in my opinion, the real star of the show because Charles not only is learned and charismatic with everything he talks about with this subject,

but he also dishes out perspectives on these stories and characters that we are consuming

and that we love, like all the MCU stuff, anything from DC, the cartoons that we adore,
