A lot of what the U.S. has tried to get done around the world recently seems to have gone sour.

President Trump's love for terrorists and disdain for NATO have drained any remaining goodwill

from his counterparts in Europe.

And although U.S. and Israeli airstrikes quickly killed Ayatollah Ali Homenei in late February,

he was succeeded by his son, who is 30 years younger and every bit as much the hardliner.

Probably to President Trump's chagrin, all this bad news has pushed a successful act of U.S. aggression out of the spotlight.

Maduro to justice.

There are plenty of Americans who think the United States should not have nabbed the sitting

president of Venezuela and sent him to New York to await trial on drug charges.

But as my guest will explain, it's hard to argue that the operation to remove Nicolas Maduro didn't go off as U.S. planners intended.

The question now for oil investors, for democracy advocates, and for the people of Venezuela is what next?
