So I was the perfect age when Avatar The Last Airbender came out.

As a 12-year-old kid, I fell in love with this world.

And it was one of those series that I was always surprised didn't get a ton of spinoffs or sequels. But looks like that's changing now with a ton of spin-off comics and books, and a new show,

oh, and a Netflix adaptation, and an animated feature film?

It's an exciting time to be an Avatar fan, and it's awesome to see the series revitalized like this.

Let's just hope that nothing coming up is as bad as that live-action movie.

If you don't know, Avatar tells the story of a world composed of four nations based on the four traditional elements.

You got the Earth Kingdom, the Water Tribes, the Fire Nation, and the Air Nomads.

Some people are born with the ability to manipulate or bend the elements of their home nation,

and the four nations have lived in balance for countless generations.

Well, that is, until the Fire Nation attacked, kicking off a 100-year war.

It's a great setup for a series and creates a world full of rich conflict,

and I'm not just talking about the war. We're talking character conflict as we come to

love characters on both sides. Like yeah, sure, we want Ang and his friends to put an end to the

war, but we also want Zuko to regain his honor. And the fact that this war has been raging

for almost a century

...
