Every now and again, an innovation comes along that changes the way we live so much.

You can't quite remember what life was like before it.

For people in towns and cities all over the world, Uber was one of those innovations.

It made traveling by cab quick, convenient and surprisingly cheap.

They would charge us a lot less than they were actually giving the driver.

And so literally at one point, Uber was losing, say, three dollars, five dollars more on every single

journey. This investors were helping subsidise cheap taxi journeys.

But like many businesses, faced with staff shortages and rising post-pandemic costs,

Uber seems to have hit a wall.
