So Christine was here last Monday because we had our annual gala commentary

magazine's annual gala, which we do in the form of a roast and the roasty on Monday

night was Ben Shapiro and who actually has a review in our forthcoming October

issue of Kevin Williamson's book The Smallest Minority and a great time was

had by all Dana Perino, was one of the roasters Andrew Klaven the screenwriter

podcaster novelist Ted Cruz, Joan Gullr old friend Joan Gullbert and 2017

roasty John Gullberg was was there and it was a it was a pretty spectacular

evening and if you want to hear more about Dana Perino's roast our general

thing is that it's off the record so though of course such things are observed

often in the breach as was the case with John Bolton's lunch yesterday the

Gatesstone Institute but Dana Perino herself revealed much many of her jokes

on her podcast with Chris Star Walt I'll tell you what so if you want to go

listen to that you can hear all of that Dana's fantastic roast of Ben so great

time was had by all knowing and and and and and and Christine were maybe

dragging it a little bit on Tuesday I will say could I just say we did have

some very devoted podcast listeners there that came to the roast and one of

the suggestions I heard was that we should have a special reader read the ads
