| 0:55.6 | what's new? We had a show dinner last week. We did. And it was spectacular, amazing, two |
| 1:01.2 | wonderful honorees, a really hardworking committee on it. But dinners are different than, |
| 1:07.1 | at least when I remember growing up, my parents, the way they spoke about dinners. Maybe people's relationship with community, with centralized community has changed a little bit. Their need to attend dinners and get back has definitely changed a little bit. So, you know, such a beautiful night, a celebration of our community. But it also revealed, you know, some of the challenges and headwinds that communities face. It's interesting that you bring that up. First of all, it was a beautiful night. We're incredibly grateful to the chairs who worked tirelessly to put it together. And, of course, the Mules and Marcus is deserved, and we're grateful for their service to our community. It was a beautiful night. It's not a reflection on our dinner. It's one of those things that hasn't evolved, right? It used to be there were dinner dances for certain segments of the community, |
| 1:47.5 | and they became dinners, gala dinners, events. |
| 1:51.6 | But it hasn't evolved as the world changed. |
| 1:53.3 | Meaning when dinner started, there were no online charity campaigns matching, |
| 1:57.5 | cause match. |
| 1:58.5 | When dinner started, there were no Venmo and Zelle and credit card readers. And when dinner started, it was a different world. Right. And it sort of hasn't evolved. So on the one end, it's really important to come together and convene and celebrate and have an energy. And they had that. It was a beautiful night. We had the amazing Shlomo Leveringer, who we're going to be coming out with an episode soon with because we interviewed him. And I don't want to say something, but I'm pretty sure I figured out one of the tricks. I'm pretty sure I spent like two hours on Google trying to figure them out and couldn't. There are a bunch that I still can't figure out, but there's one that I got. Okay. I may even try to confirm it with him, which I'll never admit, but it's not important. |
| 2:36.6 | I want to do it on me later? |
| 2:38.2 | I could. |
| 2:38.7 | Yeah, okay. |
