Summary

Donald Trump’s maximalist approach to foreign policy reached a crescendo this week, with the US president dominating proceedings at the World Economic Forum in Davos. Trump rescinded his threat to seize the Danish territory of Greenland, and launched his so-called board of peace for Gaza. It’s been a chaotic week in Trumpworld – but there is increasing resistance from other world leaders, and signs of an emergent new world order. one that is waiting to be born. In a world of great power rivalry, the countries in between

turning his attention back to Ukraine. What a week? It's what Donald Trump loves,

1:30.1

the attention economy in which he is the global dominant player. He just loves it, being the

1:37.5

centre of attention. Davos was ideal for him. And indeed, actually, the Board of Peace Venture is

1:42.7

about, again, putting him at the dead center of world affairs with him playing the role of a kind of global emperor, sitting in on his throne, putting the thumbs up or the thumbs down, freeing peoples, conquering peoples, inviting them to, you know, sit at the top table, making global peace.
