As several prominent female local politicians spoke at precinct 212, one of the largest

democratic polling places in the state, the event was cut short when a maskless white

man opened carrying a gun, showed up and began to circle the property.

They whisked away the congresswoman, Adams and the mayor, Liles, and poll watchers said

the man had been there for nearly an hour, apparently waiting for this opportunity.

The Charlotte Agenda Twitter account said North Carolina is an open carry state, so technically

he's not breaking the law.

Still voters and volunteers here describe this as voter intimidation.
