0:12.8	Still suffering from a little bit of jet lag, but a lot of adrenaline was pumped on that trip.
0:19.0	In fact, today I want to talk about the Saudi Arabian side of the trip
0:23.5	because it might be the most interesting of all because very few people have gone to Saudi Arabia.
0:31.6	And in recent decades, people have seemed to uncover more and more evidence that the real Mount Sinai is in Saudi Arabia,
0:41.2	not on the Sinai Peninsula, as has been thought since about the 300s AD,
0:48.4	when the mother of Constantine Helena decided that was the spot that Mount Sinai was and where St.
0:58.1	Catherine's monastery is now. For those you're watching on our YouTube channel, you know the
1:02.8	Sinai Peninsula. Well, right down at the bottom of that there is where they think Mount Sinai is.
1:10.0	And it's been the traditional site for the past, say,
1:14.9	1700 years. But that site was picked as the site about, let's see, about 1700 years after the
1:27.2	exodus. And yet the ancient writers were, about 1700 years after the Exodus.
1:28.9	And yet the ancient writers prior to, well, the ancient writers going all the way back to Paul in Galatians talks about Sinai being in Arabia.
1:47.8	You also had the Septuagint from about 250 BC,
1:57.0	speaking of Mount Sinai being in the Arabian location, Philo of Alexandria, origin, a third century writer, Eusebius, a fourth century writer, Jerome also a fourth century writer. Even the
2:02.4	Quran seems to indicate that Mount Sinai is in Arabia. Now, there is some dispute. Could the
2:10.7	Sinai Peninsula have been considered part of Arabia? And yes, it could be considered part of Arabia,
2:22.2	but it seems that Mount Sinai is in the land of Midian. And Midian has always been in what is now known as Saudi Arabia. That is on the
2:31.2	eastern side of the Gulf of Aquabah. Again, looking at the Sinai Peninsula, you've got the
2:37.4	Red Sea where the Suez Canal is now, closest to Egypt. The other side of that peninsula is where the
2:49.4	Gulf of Akaba is, and that is also known as the Red Sea,
